The Cornwater Club provides friendship and a range of stimulating activities for older people in a safe, welcoming environment.
Founded in 2001 to provide facilities to people within the local community, the Cornwater Club has expanded to welcome members from throughout Nottinghamshire. The club is open three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday and offers a programme of activities which run throughout the day. A freshly prepared two course lunch is served at every session. In 2007, to meet a need for care, the Thursday Club was opened. Thursday Club members are usually suffering from the early stages of dementia and need more person centred care. The club runs along similar lines to the Cornwater Club and offers a range of activities and a two course lunch. The club offers a few hours of respite for carers, who are comfortable in the knowledge that their loved ones are being well looked after. The Thursday Club
